University Pathway Programs
The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) and Focus College have formed a special partnership to give you a clear path to pursue your academic goals. This pathway will invite successful graduates of Focus College’s Advanced Certificate in Business to continue their studies as they transfer to UFV to undertake further studies in our General Studies Diploma program!
Graduates who have completed Focus College’s Advanced Certificate in Business with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 (calculated on all courses required for the Advanced Certificate), with at least a 60% in each course, will receive 31 credits towards completion of a General Studies Diploma at UFV.
Currently, these 31 credits include, among others, BUS 100: Intro to Business; CMNS 125: Communicating Professionally; CIS 100: Computers and Digital Technology; ECON 100: Principles of Microeconomics; and ECON 101: Principles of Macroeconomics.
Interested in more? Students who complete the General Studies Diploma can apply to continue studies towards a four-year degree in UFV’s Bachelor of Integrated Studies program.
We can’t wait for you to see for yourself why UFV is consistently rated as one of BC’s top universities and why QS Stars awarded UFV a five-star rating in teaching.
