Our resources are designed to ensure you feel supported every step of the way, whether you are looking for tutoring, personal guidance, or help preparing for your career.

Academic Supports & Tutoring

If you ever need extra guidance outside of your instructor’s lectures and office hours, Focus College offers academic support at no cost to students. Tutors and support staff are available to help with:

  • Study techniques and time management
  • Academic writing and APA formatting
  • English language support
  • Business and computer skills
  • Typing and digital literacy

Referrals can be arranged through the Student Services Department, and instructors may also recommend tutoring if they see you could benefit from additional help. We encourage you to seek support early to make the most of these services.

Online Resources:

Through our Learning Management System (LMS), every student has access to academic resources in the subjects they are enrolled in. Students can also contact their instructors for support through the LMS.

Job Search Assistance

Preparing for the Workforce

At Focus College, we don’t just prepare students for graduation, we prepare them for careers. Our career services team offers:

  • Resume and cover letter support
  • Interview preparation and coaching
  • Job search guidance and networking tips

This service helps students secure part-time jobs during their studies and career opportunities after graduation, giving them the tools to confidently enter the workforce.

Financial Support Services

We understand that education is an investment. To ease financial pressure, Focus College offers flexible tuition instalment plans, helping students manage their payments more comfortably. This ensures education remains accessible to students from diverse financial backgrounds without compromising their academic journey.

Our Financial Advisory staff is here to help you explore and manage your funding options in the following areas:

Personal & Mental Health Supports

Your personal well-being is just as important as your academic progress. Focus College Student Services and admissions teams are available to provide support regarding:

  • Test anxiety and confidence building
  • Communication and peer relationships

If you need mental health care beyond coaching, please contact Student Services. You may also access Here2Talk, a government-funded program offering 24/7 free counselling to BC post-secondary students.
