Dental Administrative Assistant
8.75 Months
The Dental Administrative Assistant program equips students with essential skills to ensure the smooth operation of a dental office. Students will gain expertise in daily office management, including scheduling, patient communication, and administrative support. The program covers key areas such as office ergonomics, keyboarding, Microsoft™ Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel), and basic bookkeeping.
Health Records and Registration Clerk
5.5 Weeks
Health Records and Registration Clerks play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of hospitals and outpatient facilities. These professionals provide critical nonclinical support by managing patient documentation, including the preparation, maintenance, and storage of records in both paper and electronic formats.
Community Support Worker Program
7 Months
The Community Support Worker Program is a dynamic 7 - month training course designed to prepare individuals for impactful roles in community support and care. Located in British Columbia, the program encompasses 816 hours of comprehensive classroom instruction and hands-on practical experience, including supervised field placements.
Medical Terminology
4 Months
This program provides comprehensive instruction in medical terminology, focusing on the reading, spelling, pronunciation, and interpretation of commonly used medical terms, symbols, and abbreviations. It explores each body system in detail, covering anatomical, pathological, and clinical aspects, along with planes, directions, and body positions. Additional topics include pharmacological terminology and oncology. Engaging activities, diagrams, and soundbites are integrated to support student self-assessment and reinforce the connection between medical terms and the structure and function of the human body.
