About the BCAMA Marketing Excellence Awards
The BC Chapter of the American Marketing Association (BCAMA) established the Marketing Excellence Awards in 2016 to honor organizations which achieve exceptional marketing success through quantifiable results. A panel of judges composed from senior marketing leaders and past winners of the Marketer of the Year award and agency executives and academics and seasoned strategists chooses finalists for each year’s competition. The evaluation process examines three essential elements which include:
- The evaluation process assesses how well marketing principles get applied in practice.
- The evaluation process assesses how well organizations plan and execute their marketing strategies from start to finish.
- The evaluation process requires organizations to show concrete evidence of their marketing achievements.
- The evaluation process assesses how well organizations use strategic intelligence to analyze markets.
- The organization needs to maintain its marketing activities throughout British Columbia.
- The BCAMA Marketer of the Year Awards Gala celebrates its 51st year of honoring marketing excellence throughout British Columbia.

The BCAMA Marketer of the Year Awards Gala functions as BC’s leading marketing event which unites thousands of professionals from various industries including tech and education and retail and CPG and agency and corporate sectors. The event serves as a space for professionals to reconnect while learning from and getting inspired by the best creative minds in the province.
The organization maintains its founding purpose from 1955 by uniting BC marketers through its network of 350 active members who connect with 3000 additional marketing professionals. BCAMA exists to support BC marketers through member connections and professional development programs.
